Help in sizing photos for large prints

| ->> Hi all: I have a request to turn one of my photos into a 16 x 20 print and need help in sizing it correctly. Cropped at full resolution, my original image is only about 145 DPI (I shoot at the largest JPG size on my Canon 40D). I use Photoshop Elements to handle my photos and need to know how to upsize (and how far to upsize) this image to make it print worthy. Your input is greatly appreciated. |

->> Miles,
Ask your lab what to do. Most labs just want it cropped to the correct dimensions and they take care of any "upsizing". So when you crop, put in the dimensions (16 x 20) and don't enter the resolution. |

->> I agree with Landon, crop it to dimension, 16x20, but let the lab do the upsizing.
At 10 MP you should have no problem producing an outstanding 16x20. I've gotten really nice stuff from my D2H which is only 4 MP. |
