->> Be sure you can buy button making components for the machine you buy. They are not all interchangeable.

->> Try to buy a press that will allow you to do a photo-wrap. It looks more professional with the photo wrapping around the button's edge than having just the mylar wrapping around it.

Also, buy a die-cutter for your photos. This should speed up the time it takes to cut out each photo. It will also make it more uniform.

->> Be careful... I have one from Mr. Button, and it's hard to wrap a print on photo paper... anything thicker than plain paper is a bear.

My local CVS pharmacy does them for $1.50 with a Badge-a-minute (sp?) machine, so I do NOT mess with them anymore. I format my buttons 3.5" circle on a 4x6 with all the important stuff in a 3" safe area and upload to CVS online for their 1 hour printing.

The gals at the local CVS know when the first name on the order is "BUTTON PLEASE" that it is me!

I have a 4x6 template saved in PS with solid red, green, blue, cyan, yellow, magenta and black blocks on it around the outside of the circle. That really helps combat their auto-correction with will otherwise throw off color and increase contrast too much at times.

Hope this helps - Tim
