->> Brad Mangin-
You are the 'King' of photographers shooting baseball. Not only do you get the cover of Sports Illustrated with Barry Bonds breaking the record, you get the 'Lead' Leading Off, which is awesome. No one deserves it more than you my friend. Congrats, ....oh and by the way, you didn't take any steriods did you?

Speaking of "what goes into The Process," nice work Mr. Mangin.

->> Awesome work.
I was lucky enough to be Mr. Mangin's assistant for a single game and he is one of the hardest working photographers I know.
He is at the ballpark early and stays late to make sure everything and everyone is taken care of.
And it is not a mistake that he is the only photographer shooting from a particular spot. He is always trying to make it fresh.
A cover and a leading off in the same issue of SI, now that is impressive.
Best,
Jim

Brad, would you mind sharing how you set up your remote cameras, and what sort of planning went in to determining your angles? Every shot in that gallery is spot on and unique. I'd love to hear about the planning process that went into determining how to make those images. Perhaps a newsletter article might be more appropriate?

Congratulations on a terrific shoot.

->> My understanding Robert is that Brad didn't know that it was the "The Clear" or "The Cream" (aka topical steroids!) ... and that it was "Flaxseed Oil"!

But we'll have to wait for leaked grand jury transcripts to know for sure...

Personally I rub coco butter on my arms before heading out to shoot AVP Beach Volleyball ... something my old buddy Cpt. Ron taught me years ago. Doesn't seem to help my photography much, but I tan a whole lot better.

Oh wait ... I think Cpt. Ron injected the coco butter before going to beach volleyball!

And speaking of the "All You Can Eat" righfield pavilion at Dodger Stadium ... I think I counted 12 Dodger Dogs that Max Morse gobbled down in 8 innings. Now that's a good night's work if you can get it!
