->> Just watched this all the way through. It's the best audio slideshow I've seen. Usually I'm checking my watch within 30 seconds but this was interesting right through to the end. For me, the most poignant image was the one of the guy who lost his legs and an arm, being carried out of the sea by his friend.

And on a purely technical note I thought Loomis' exposures were amazing. I'd love to know how much post-processing was done on his photos, if any. If he can work under pressure and still have such immaculate control over the tone of his images then I'm even more impressed.

->> Great insight into what goes on behind the lens during war.
I had the priveledge of meeting Rick when he came down to a photojournalism class taught by his fellow Times staffer Mark Boster.
Listening to him and his stories in person is something different all together.
Great photographer and great person. Passionate is an understatement.

Until then, each frame I see with his byline simply backs my impression of Rick as the real deal.

->> True story: I watched about 75% of the production yesterday afternoon, and last night I had some of the worst nightmares I've had in years. Those images definitely hit a nerve, and the narration only added to the story. However, I'm so glad now that I decided not to enlist after high school (three years ago). Very well done.
