->> I've got a busted tab on the end piece of one of my Mark IIn batteries (the NP-E3) and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. Anybody have a part number?
Thanks. |

->> When I find a dead Canon battery someone is going to throw away, I take off the end of the battery that's exposed when it's in the camera(as it's held on by two small screws) and hang on to it.
That way, when I buy knock-off batteries, which don't always fit well, often because the piece in question is just a little bit off, I can take off the third party end and replace with a Canon end that fits perfectly. And it's cheaper than ordering a part for a battery. . .
As a side note, I originally took the NP-E3 batteries apart to see if I could just replace the rechargable batteries inside instead of buying new ones, but they're very difficult to get open without breaking them and it's just not worth the effort. |

| ->> Every 1D comes with an AC adapter that has a fake battery. You can use the end piece from that as a replacement. The only difference is that there's a small hole where you plug in the AC adapter. A little gaffers tape over that and you'll be in business. At least until you get a proper replacement cap. |

->> I'm about to swap an old Canon endpiece onto a Delkin battery that doesn't fit right... anything I should know?
From what I can tell it's just a matter of removing the two screws, but I wanted to double check before I go taking things apart. Any advice would be great.
Thanks. |

| ->> It's pretty straightforward. Although I've never seen the Delkin version. |
