3D Digital Animated Photo Albums

->> These albums are made for weddings but the same concept could be applied to sports if you know Adobe After Effects. It's an interesting appearance that could be used with many subjects.

Worth a look..... not sure how long they will hold the most current post.

->> Thanks for sharing the link. This takes photography to a higher creative level and is very interesting. I think everyone would enjoy viewing these and opinions would be really favorable. I just wonder how difficult they were to create.

->> They don't take an extremely high level of skill to make - just a lot of time. I've done this sort of thing (moving planes in AE) before, and once you get the hang of the software, it's not hard.

->> The tricks are pretty interesting, but the video is way too much "effects for effects sake". In each one of the sequences, the subjects are only clearly defined for a second or so before they swoosh/blur/wash to another image. So think about someone who is trying to watch this and see images from the wedding...very frustrating! 30 seconds in they'll be annoyed that they can't see anyone's faces.

Effects are great, but keep focus on the viewer...who is usually not an effects junkie.

->> David, I agree with you that it is a lot of effects for effects sake but think not about a wedding and think about applying it to sports as I said in the original post. Think about all the effects you see on an NFL telecast or commercial or the opening of Monday Night Football. I think generally, guys, and some girls, like effects, anybody see The Matrix other similar type movie lately?

The whole point of it was to expose to people and get them thinking about other creative ways to show SPORTS(not wedding) images outside of a simple static photograph even though some static photos can be very powerful.

So in effect, pun intended, there are not too many effects for effects sake considering the effects are created with a product with EFFECTS in it's name. Too many effects?

has got to be one of the most effective uses of this "effect" I've ever seen. It works for that project much better than it does for a wedding in my opinion.
