Interstingly, when the camera was introduced last year, it did not have a hot shoe or a provision for an optical viewfinder:

but rumor has it that Sigma monitored some online forums and listened to customers' comments about not having either of those features... it's nice to see a company listens to its current and potential customers.

Although the Ricoh GR-D is tried and true, and probably going to cost less than the Sigma.
