Using Noise Ninja to it's fullest?
Nic Hume, Photographer
Victoria | BC | Canada | Posted: 6:52 PM on 08.25.06
->> I've had noise-ninja for ages and ages, and until now have only used it for really bad noise issues... I'm starting to want to use it more effectively as part of my regular workflow for lower-noise (ISO 400 / ISO 200 ) images and am wondering if anyone knows of any good tutorials / how-to's to help me out... ? I'm in the process of digging through the user-guide that comes with it, but figure there must be some more advanced resources out there on the net somewhere... thoughts anyone ?

->> Nic... experimentation with it was key for me. Trial and error stuff. One thing that I find most beneficial is the brush tool as most of the time, I want to keep the faces in tact or with minimal NR and get rid of the excessive noise in the BG.

Not much help, I know...

Vincent's recommendations are great for any ISO.

My apologies if you have already seen it, but there is a pretty good User Guide that is installed in PDF format. I have been using NN for over a year, and only just discovered it.

You'll find it in the "doc" folder, under Program Files - Adobe Photos CS2 - Plug-Ins - NoiseNinjaPlugin_Win32_2_1_3 - doc
