->> Facebook is an online community of college (and now high school) students. For College students, you must have a .edu e-mail address to join. You can post pictures, send messages and network amongst your friends and schoolmates. It is much more secure than myspace becase of the .edu requirement. You have access to the profiles of all the people at your school as well as people who have been categorized as friends at other schools.

Facebook appears to be an online community where you can network and message your friends, get to know others with common interests, share pictures, etc. Boy, if only Bert, Grover and Jason could come up with something that cool, I'd join in a second! ;)

->> Having the group on facebook accomplishes 2 things.
A) It allows us student sportsshooter members to show off our SS pride in a forum made up of our student peers who might not know what SS is.
B) Allow student shooters a place to talk about student stuff that is not neccesarily related to shooting, or to gripe about issues or problems specific to student shooters. It's the kids table so that the kids don't disturb the grownups or get hammerred with "offtopic" labels.

->> I was think of starting a Myspace group to track the Facebook group that tracks the Sportsshooter group. Who's in?

It could go like this in the Myspace SS group; "Hey did you see the topic on Facebook Sportsshooter about the topic on Sportsshooter?".

If that is not enough then we could start a Yahoo group to watch the Myspace group ;)

Just kidding, you kids have fun and play nice in your Facebook group.

Paul
