->> Hi All,

I photograph a lot of Events and am working on displaying images on a TV at the Event. Now i am after a Slideshow that will show the image and display the Photo Number underneath the image so people can view their photo and take down the number to purchase the photo. I am currently printing out sheets of thumbnails so people can view them but figure that this takes a lot of time + Money and if i can display images bigger, the impact of them will be much more appreciated and hopefully create more sales. Any ideas?

Thanks

Ben

->> Stanley,

Looked at PhotoMechanic but could not get the File Numbers to appear below the images, it would just set as one name and then every image would have that name.

->> Ben,

PM will allow you to select a number of different items for display with the slideshow. Open PM, then go to slideshow.

On the slideshow menu, either the second or third line from the top is a line for text. Type in {filename}

This will display each image's file name below the image during the slideshow.

Also, at the bottom, click on "variables" and check out the list of other possible entries. Hope this helps.

Bruce

->> If you have a Windows PC, ACee Dcee, I,m not sure what the latest version is. This will do the trick. A friend of mine that shoots alot of Hockey tournaments and prints on site uses this software. If you have a Mac, I would go with I view media Pro.

->> If you have a PC, take a look at ProShow Producer by Photodex. http://www.photodex.com It is by far the easiest and most versatile slideshow program that I have seen.

->> I use Photoshop PDF Presentation for this purpose but you need a script so the file names appear beneath the images.

I am a member of NAPP, National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and downloaded the script from one of their online tutorials.

If you're not a member, I would suggest ACDSee 8. It's a terrific little program and the first one I open to edit.

It will do standalone slide shows with the file name at the top.

Good luck,
