| ->> As a matter of fact, I just got around to putting some images up on my page from a game this past Saturday. I shot a lot of LAX back in Phoenix last year. But this year I only got the oppertunity to shoot a couple halves of two women's games and then a little over a quarter in the men's Mizzou v Illinois game. Its a great sport and a lot of fun to shoot...just gotta watch out for shadows cast by the helmets. |

Mike's not kidding. I went to high school in Barrington IL, and I've never even noticed lacrosse being played out there until maybe my senior year of HS ('99-'00). It really does seem to be catching on though. I know the MLL just expanded to Chicago this year, and Northwestern winning that 2005 NCAA championship sure hasn't hurt the popularity here either! |

->> Me, too ....
I shoot a lot of lacrosse, some on my member page and some on my website.
Lacrosse has really hit the Atlanta area in a big way since 2001. More high school teams are added every season and just last year the governing body of high schools in Georgia (GHSA) made lacrosse a "sanctioned" Championship Sport here.
It's a terrific game to shoot and to watch .... |

I thought some of you might find it interesting. Forgive the hasty toning of D1 images!
here's the link.

I got some up from two weeks ago but am shooting the Western Conference Lacross League Final Four tournament in Santa Barbara - I guess I'll post some when i am done. ->> How about some little guys playing lax! I have just update my page with 9 and 10 yr olds playing. Most have just started playing in the last year. Amazing what they have picked up in a short time. A league rule is that they must complete one pass before anyone can take a shot, forcing them to master the passing and catching.

->> My brother (one of 3) played lacrosse in high school in the 70's. After he graduated college, he coached lacrosse for a kittle while.
Now, his 11 year old son, my nephew, plays it in his town. I just hope he doesn't lose a tooth like my brother did.
It's a great sport to watch and shoot, but nuts to play if you ask me.It looks very dangerous.
When I was a student at RIT, it was one of the 2 top sports there (along with hockey-since RIT didn't have a football team)

Deb, the latest update on my member page may bring back memories then, although it's not good news. RIT just got bounced from the playoffs this past Saturday. In true Rochester fashion, the game went from sunshine, to heavy cloud cover, to rain, to a bit of hail, and back to sunshine. All in about 45 minutes time.

22 years ago this Saturday, May 19, I graduated (it's AMAZING how fast the time flies. STUDENTS, take note! Time REALLY does fly.) Anyway, 2 weeks before I graduated from RIT, we had about 2 feet of snow..IN MAY!
Bummer about the lacrosse team getting bounced out. Thanks for the latest shot. I heard RIT looks totally different now from 22 years ago, but at least the bricks are STILL there.

Don't feel too bad, I understand Glen Adams was sick yesterday. And that shot you have of Charlie Congleton, the goalie, is very unusual. With any luck I'll be at Cortland to capture that contest. Will you be there? |
