Also, I think I remember where ThinkTank is working on an in-car mount for laptops that may also clamp to a tripod. The whole rig mounts on top of my tripod. Simple. Stable. Easy to set up and use. I was too busy searching everywhere for "laptop platform" and "notebook platform" so I missed it. James- thanks for the ram-mounts.com website. I think my dad has one in his pickup- probably too heavy for my needs, but I found alot of other useful mounts on there for future reference. Cheers!
