NP-E2 in a 1DmkII

->> Has anyone ever put the end cap of an NP-E3 on an older NP-E2 so that it works on a 1D? Phtsically, I can tell you it fits fine, but are there any other potential problems like voltage etc...

Thanks,

DB

->> David,

I have done this to several of my old NP-E2 batteries, look on the spec it's the same just the end caps are different. I took the end cap off the ac adapter and taped the hole and used the NP-E2 for the battery.

->> Thanks guys, with everything being so identical, including the screw holes, I figured as much but wanted to make sure before frying my 1D.
