| ->> There were some really funny and creative stuff tonight on the commercials. Which one was your fav(s)? Mine was the Bud at the end of the evening. The stadium is full of people holding cards to make the bottle pour into the glass....amazingly creative. The other is the Sprint/Nextel where the guy uses his phone as a crime deterrent tool. Hilarious! |

->> Wendi,
We took the Bud ad to be somewhat derivitive of an ad for Carlton Draught - see bigad.com.au.
The Bud Cyldesdale Jr. went over well, in adition to the bug zapper in ICU |

| ->> I'm with Sam on this one. I thought the commercials were not up to par as in previous years. |

| ->> The only 3 half way decent ones were the bud commercials, naked sheep, the stadium and the cards, and the little horse "pulling" the wagon. The rest were lame or dumb. I am with Jeff and Sam. |

->> I think the commercials in the last two or three Superbowls have been dropping in creativity.
My top 3 favorite:
Clydesdale Jr.
Crime Deterrent Phone
Streaking Sheep
BigDaddy.com had better commercials which ABC wouldn't play and instead played one that was a bit lame. For those who haven't followed this... BigDaddy had about 12 submissions, some actually filmed, some only story boarded, that were "banned" by ABC. |

->> Thanks for the link Andrew. I have to throw a vote out there for the streaking sheep too. Anyone see "Boundin'", the Pixar short that played before "The Incredibles"? (http://www.pixar.com/shorts/bdn/index.html) The marketing world has finally realized that nekkid sheep are funny.
Also liked Sprint's crime deterrent phone. I could see me doing that. |

| ->> The Crime Deterrent Phone made me laugh the hardest. The Benny Hill tune second, streaking sheep third. But it's relative. The commercials were average at best. |

| ->> My favorites were the Bud Light "Magic Fridge" followed by the Bud Light bear and the "But FedEx doesn't exist yet" ... "not my problem" cavemen. |

| ->> I'm with James on this one, the "Magic Fridge" Bud commercial was pretty good. Also, watching the caveman boot the small dinosaur then get creamed by the Brontosaurus was hilarious. |

->> I really thought that the commercials were a let down too.
With the cost of a 30 second spot over 2.5 million dollars, I think the networks have priced themselves out of business.
Didn't you notice that there were as many or more commercials for movies and/or television shows as there were for products?
And commercials for the NFL...come on, we're watching the SuperBowl, do we need ads for the league? |

and the aforementioned bud commercials... |

->> No one but me liked the FedEx caveman commercial?
Perhaps it was the similarity between the commercial boss -- "But FedEx hasn't been invented yet!" "Not my problem." -- and mine in real life that was the difference for me. |

->> I enjoyed the naked sheep one, and Sprints crime deterent made me laugh the hardest.
I'm curious though if anyone knows who shot the black and white photos of the players with the Lambardi trophy at the end of each commercial segment? I tried looking at the reflection in the tropy but I couldn't tell. |

"Magic Fridge" was ok, too. |

->> Loved the "Magic Fridge", that was funny.
Fed Ex got the biggest reaction in the house.
Little Clydesdale thrilled all the women at my place.
My favorite was the United Airlines commercial. That was so well done. I would not be surprised to find out it was done by the same people who worked on the "Lemony Snicket's" movie. |
