I was wondering about hotels and or housing in the area?
Will be traveling from New Mexico and just checking if anyone else was heading from or through this way.

| ->> This is a great conference. We all enjoy SportsShooter due to the lack of any of the "attitude" and self-absorbed ego that have been found in certain conferences in the past. SWPJ is also very refreshing that way - there are always great speakers and you cannot spend a weekend here without leaving inspired and renewed. |

->> After a bit of work I managed to get permission from my publisher to go - I think this will be my sixth year going - and I am greatly looking forward to it! So much of what is shared at this event is not the technicals of how a shot was achieved, but the thinking and the motivation behind it - the "why" of it all.
Nevermind that it is right in the middle of the State basketball tournament play-offs here in New Mexico, I'm going! |

I have been able to book some hotel rooms in off-campus hotels for our conference. Everything on campus is long gone. Please help me get the word out that the following rooms are available … and at a good rate too. They are set up for individual pay (caller will have to give a credit card number to hold) and are for two nights – checking in on Friday, 3 March, and checking out on Sunday, 5 March. Caller must say they are attending the Photojournalism Conference at Southwestern.
Holiday Inn South, Fort Worth at $69 / night. Call Helen Schaftner at 817-759-4610. This is very near the campus – almost within walking distance.
AmeriSuites, Cityview, Fort Worth at $89 / night. Call Chris Slaughter at 817-361-9797. This is a little further out … about 8 miles from the campus.
