->> My favorite part of ss.com is being able to see other photographers' work. I have a long list of favorites including some you may or may not have seen. I'm sure there are other talented photographers out there that I am not aware of ... so, who are your favorites that you would recommend other photographers check out. I would love to see some and add them to my list. Here are a FEW of my favorites that I think are worth checking out (in no particular order)...
Robin Loznak - http://www.sportsshooter.com/rloznak/
Love to keep up on Montana and Robin always has a way of capturing what I love about the place.
Jose Carlos Fajardo - http://www.sportsshooter.com/jfajardo/
quirky, fun pictures (just has solid bball action on his site right now)
Kevin German - http://www.sportsshooter.com/kgerman/
He makes a guy who is not a big fan of portraits (me) like to look at them.
Chip Litherland - http://www.sportsshooter.com/chiplitherland/
Among the best out there. Where does he get that color anyway?
Scott Stazzante - http://www.sportsshooter.com/strazz/
Great all around newspaper (especially sports) photographer.
Sol Neelman - http://www.sportsshooter.com/sol/
he paid me to add him to my favorites list
I have many other favorites, but the cost of newsprint is going up, so I will keep it short.
thanks,
Bruce |

In no particular order (sans the links & people already mentioned, I've got to get to a game)
S. Frischling - first work I really started looking at when I joined. Has great ideas and angles. Oh yeah, the nicest New Englander I've never met. He loans more equipment than he uses.
T. Witte - When's next football season start? great concepts and one heck of a helpful guy.
D. Miralle - Probably one of the few guys I'd like to watch work. Those portraits just wake you up.
A quick couple of local favorites - although they have both recently moved away.
Josh Ritchie and Chris Curry. I never got to meet Chris, but reading his captions and images really convey passion for the work and the people. Same with Josh. I got to shoot along side Josh for a few years on the sidelines. He takes some pretty cool shots, but I really respected his work with the homeless. I some of those shots are still on his page.
Game starts in 10 minutes (It's a 20 minute commute). I'm late! |

->> I knew I'd forget at least one. BTW - sorry if I misspelled any names.
E Neitzel - The series from the King of Pop trial was one of the best I'd seen. However, that update with the King of Burgers just plain scared me. Who's in that suit anyway?
Now I'm really late.

->> Many of those whose work motivates me are mentioned above already. One that isn't is Francis Gardler. I am always stoked when his name appears on the update list.

->> The folks' ss.com page that I often look at are
Donald Miralle (Getty), who is probably one of the most consistent producers of images that make you look more than once. I know he gets to shoot a lot of events for Getty but regardless of the event he always seems to come up with a fresh approach.
Walter Calahan - I've been watching his stuff from the moment he became a member and his vision is amazing.
Chip Litherland - a must view if you like to see how you can make your images pop like slides.
Thomas Witte - always looking for a fresh approach
Steven Frischling - consistently excellent work
Joshua Brown - does some really really nice work |
