| ->> A little off topic but following the recent post of who shoots motorcycles, who actually rides them. I love to jump on my Yamaha R6 and hit the North Georgia backroads, it is a total escape from the normal everyday things we do and a great way to relieve stress. Anyone else? |

->> We had a discussion about this in a gas thread once upon a time. I own a 1995 Honda 600CBR RR. Fun stuff especially in the Californian back roads and I get alot of miles to a little fuel which is nice too. I am heavily considering getting a Lowepro Dryzone 200 to take with me to simple assignments here in town, anyone use one of these? How much stuff can it hold?

2 years on an nc30(whick i still use as a track day bike) and 6 years on tz250's(the closest you can get to a gp bike without having the talent!)
my garage has the nc30,ktm 525 exc supermoto,rd350 lc(in bits) and a scooter for getting round london. |

| ->> I had the honor and privilege to ride for three and a half years as a Motor Officer with the Fairfax County Police Department (VA). They ride the Police Version of the Harley Davidson Electra Glide, and are some of the most talented riders I have ever seen. It was by far the most fun I have had during my 23-year career in law enforcement. Although I had already left the section, the last time I was on any motorcycle was to escort the funeral procession of my former Captain who was killed in the line of duty in a traffic accident while riding his Police Motorcycle. RIP Tommy, maybe one day I'll get back in the saddle. |

I went on a 3 week trip through western Canada, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and back this summer. It was a great way to travel and photograph -- used a small digital P&S and a small 4x5 pinhole.
It was fun, not only for the ride but also breaking out of the usual newspaper shooter frame of mind. |

i went to vietnam and did 1000km in 5 days on a minsk,which is a type of russian motorbike,(very basic but perfect for the conditions), in the hills north of hanoi and all the way upto the chinese boarder.
literally a life changing experiance for me,you can read all you want about the place but until you get there you cant belive how some of the people live.

I do not own one personally but my father lets me ride his 1999 H-D FXR3 and his 2005 H-D V-Rod. The V-Rod is my favorite.
