->> I know HOW to get there and where I can stay, what I want to know is how's the lighting, and how's the press area set up for wifi etc....?
Obviously I'll take my own WB and exp settings when I get there but a little knowledge from you U of L and Louisville/ Lexington Ky. area shooters would help.
There is nothing in "The Guide" either....
If you have the scoop, share it here on SS !
Jim

->> I'm guessing that you will be shooting KHSAA football finals on Saturday. When UofL plays and they have all of the lights on: 1000 ISO, 1/500 at f2.8 and they have wireless (just added this year). However, wifi hasn't been provided for any of the HS games that have been held there this season. Sometimes in years past, they haven't always turned on all of the lights for the field (which will drop it by about another stop.) They do have phone lines in the media area on the sixth floor. I hope this helps you out.

->> When I was at one of the Cardinals games this year, you had to supply your MAC address to an IT guy in order to access the system. Perhaps this is another reason it's not offered for HS? There was a photo room set up just off the main press area but the wireless reception was much better in the main writers' area.
Also, forget about accessing the elevators during halftime. The one on the north end leading to the pressbox is held for the coaches and the other one at the south end is jammed with spectators. At least there are stairs...

This info is probably more relevant for college games.

->> Jamie, Ron, thanks for your info.

Jamie, I have to tell you I get a chance to see your work often in the CJ and your images are top notch.
Yes, I'm coming down to shoot Trinity and Louisville St.X Friday night. Then leave the next a.m. for Canton Ohio to shoot the D1 [large school] State championship game between Cincinnati St.Xavier and Massillon Washington.
Are you shooting the Trinity/Lou St. X game ?

->> Jim, thank you for the kind words. I'll see you there Friday night. It's been my experience that the elevators haven't been a problem for the playoff finals in the past two years. You might try calling the KHSAA and see if they might have a press parking pass that they could drop in the mail tomorrow. Make sure that you get there early because the regular season match up between St.X and Trinity in Papa John's drew 30,000+ fans ( which will lead to horrible traffic before and after the game!!!!)
