->> SSA Alums:

Check out this story about the famous Ralphy Holmes' 20-point performance against Santa Barbara:

I am sure that Matt Brown had a smile as big as the Anaheim Convention Center at the end of this one!

The Kahuna.

->> Too bad for Ralphy that he was 5 of 14 from the field and led the game in turnovers with six against Utah State. Guess that's the difference from playing UCSB who is 11-18 and a 23 win team.

On that first image, he walked right up to me and said "that's two son" hilarious! Fullerton is a great team...

And right about then Matt Brown's smile faded as his Elinchrom's took a dive... and then his assistant Steven smiled even bigger realizing he'd be lugging speedo's up the ever-so entertaining black hole of the ACC's catwalk system.

This is a tribute to a good team that had a nice run of wins down the stretch in the Big West.

Check out the nice photo of Ralphy (by Matt Brown?) on the Cal State Fullerton sites:

->> Big thanks to Matt Brown for setting me up with the folks at the Orange County Register. It was my first freelance gig with a newspaper and a ton of fun...barring my sprint to the campus library 15 minutes before deadline in order to seek a faster connection to transmit. Oh the look on all the students' faces when I ran into the library, out of breath, all my gear on my back with sweat dripping from my brow! I'll update my gallery tonight.

And Boyd...they say hacks travel in packs...but I should have followed you down to the court in the last minute. I can't believe Ralphy ran right to you...nice shot.

Congratulations Ralphy. (I'm probably the only Oregon Stater saying that.)

Cheers,

Justin

->> But there is some really bad news...

During the game, Ralphy tore the meniscus in his left knee. I don't think he will be able to play any more for Cal State Fullerton.

I am a Fullerton grad and a huge fan of the basketball team. This was probably one of our biggest wins ever but I am more sad than happy because Ralphy was injured. It's really too bad.

Pretty amazing-the guy scored a double-double with only one good leg.
