| Amanda Smith's Message: |
Amanda L. Smith was born and raised in Spokane , WA where she worked for The Spokesman-Review before taking an internship at The Seattle Times followed by a job at the Post Register in Idaho Falls. Amanda currently works for various publications including ESPN, Shape, Sports Illustrated, Bloomberg, The Associated Press and the New York Times. Amanda most currently worked for the Register-Guard before being laid off in June 2009.
Amanda made lemonade out of the lemons life handed her in June 2009 and launched Amanda L Smith Photography which focuses on her award-winning journalistic approach to capturing life's important moments. She strives to remind her community that all of the moments in life are important.
Amanda is currently the Editor in Chief of the Oregon State Trooper Magazine and Social Marketing Director for CycleBuy.com. In addition for being the contract shooter for businesses like Willamalanes, Dominane Serene Winery, Photonlight.com and Right Mental Attitude.
In her spare time, Amanda donates her time once a week to shooting the "homeless" dogs at Lane County Animal Shelter in Eugene, OR. She is also the co-owner of Illumidog.
