Last week was one of my favorite days of the year: baseball opening day! For Christopher Newport University, that is.
I LOVE baseball season. It's a great way to spend an afternoon relaxing in the sun. Some people complain about baseball being a slow sport, but I love the plodding pattern of the game punctuated by exciting moments. Can't beat it.

I am a freelance photographer based in Newport News, Virginia. I cover a range of assignments including sports, spot news, and features.
I also work with the office of communications and public relations at Christopher Newport University as a photographer and an assistant to the university photographer.
I shoot regularly for www.milestat.com and accept various other freelance assignments, having shot for a number of newspapers throughout the commonwealth.
Last fall I completed an internship with the Daily Press, a daily newspaper in Newport News with a circulation around 100,000.
