I'd be a liar if I said my last update wasn't optimism layered with a heavy dose of self pity. The end of last year was questionable at best with my body of work seeming weak. Trying to think back to that era is almost impossible though, due to the amount of doors that have opened to me since then, and a revitalized love of shooting and doing what we do.
This collection of images is only a snapshot (ha) of my past 9 months. While yes, you can have a baby in 9 months, you can also move around the country, meet hundreds of new people, redefine your style, and be absolutely stoked on life, your career path, and your progress. Here's to another 9 months like the past 9.

Penick is an editorial and commercial photographer with a broad background across many subjects. Penick is currently available throughout California, along with anywhere in the west for assignment work, as well as anywhere with a nice river, great snow, or a good story.
Tommy feels equally comfortable behind the camera and the computer as he does in a kayak on a Class V river, on a pair of skis lining up a cliff, or in the saddle of a mountain bike picking out technical rock lines. Tommy's passion for photography and storytelling, along his pursuit of adventure have synthesized into his unique photographic style.
