This week I headed down to Vancouver to see some friends and watch Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals downtown. Naturally, I took my camera.
What could have been the celebration of the year for Vancouver - expected to be bigger than the gold medal win in hockey at the Olympics - turned into a night of chaos. 100,000 people filled the streets of downtown Vancouver, and when the Canucks lost 4-0 to the Boston Bruins, some fans began rioting, lighting cars on fire, looting stores and starting fights as they clashed with police. Here are a few shot from the night.
