I doubt I will ever take my 35mm camera on vacation again. I did bring my 5d mark ii - but used it only half a day - the rest of the time it sat in my hotel - it was like a million degrees and I was on vacation and didn't want to lug that damn thing around. I had much more fun taking everything with my iPhone. I also didn't take my laptop, that was awesome too - loved traveling that light.
Most of these pictures I would not have been able to get with my 5d - these are my favorites...
My brother, sister-in-law, Mom and stepdad talked me into taking a last minute, short (7 day) trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, with my bro and sis thanks guys! It was my fourth trip there - since I was adopted from there in '74 with my bro (from different orphanages). I also went in '93, '04, and '06. '06 was for work. Met some great people - it was a lot fun despite the ridiculous heat - 100's - heat index was supposedly around 120 one day - and if you know me, I'm a heat wimp - but I powered through it... :)
