Nov. 14, 2009, Worcester, MA: Holy Cross and Lafayette squared off in a battle to decide the 2009 Patriot League Championship. Both teams came into the game undefeated in Patriot league play. Holy Cross came from 12 points down to claim victory with a final score of 28 - 26. This is the first Patriot League Championship for Holy Cross since 1991. The Crusaders earn the league's automatic bid into the 2009 FCS championship playoffs.
