Woah people still use SportsShooter?!
I kid, but really I feel bad about not really ever updating this page, so if my photos look outdated, they probably are.
What keeps me renewing this membership though lies in the fact that many clients have found me this way, so it pays for it self!
This update is a selection of my favorite "Sportraits" of the past year. Sportraits are what I and some of my old college photo buddies used to call a candid sports photo taken in a way that seem like a portrait. Our newspapers seem to use them a lot and it was always fun to weed these gems out from the boring post-live edits everyone suffers through doing after shooting a game.

I have been capturing current events, athletes, personalities and my community through pictures published in local, national and international media since 2002. From my current base in Michigan, my work can be seen regularly in pictures for the Associated Press, The Detroit Free Press, and The Detroit News. I am also represented by Icon SMI.
I find shooting sports come most naturally to me, but I am passionate about the power of visual communication in general, with assignment interests in international affairs, politics, and the Asia-Pacific region.
All comments and advice are definitely welcome and I would love to network with other shooters in my position!
