BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!
This was my first Super Bowl, but I have been shooting big time football games for the last 6 years traveling throughout the United States covering Notre Dame.
I found out I was shooting the game about a month prior to Super Bowl Sunday. I wasn't sure what to expect, I was ready for a cluster and hoping for a well organized event. I consider myself lucky to have an upper position, because I didn't have to deal with the chaos of the field. I could move around on the 300 level of Lucas Oil Stadium and really only saw a few other photographers at that level.
When I found out I was going to be in an upper position, I sent Brad Mangin and email to pick his brain on what to expect from the entire event. He gave me some good advice and a few links to blogs by photographers who had previously been in the upper shooting positions at Super Bowls.
