Image © 2009, Bryan Littel / The News of Cumberland County || Millville High School center fielder Mike Trout stands at the center of the media pack after being selected 25th overall by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the Major League Baseball amateur draft at the MLB Network's Studio 42 in Secaucus, N.J., Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Trout, who lives a little more than two hours down the N.J. Turnpike from the studio, was the only player in attendance for the draft broadcast.

Bryan Littel's Message: There was only one kid who showed up for the Major League Baseball draft last week - and he happened to be local. Mike Trout, a standout center fielder for Millville High School, was a virtual lock as a first-round pick and was invited up for the live broadcast at the MLB Network. I spent the day in Secaucus, and this is some of what I came away with that night.

Any feedback, good, bad, or ugly, is always appreciated.
