I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph professional golf's return to Colorado this past weekend when I shot the Sr. PGA Championship for Christian Iooss at Golf World Magazine. It was a great tournament that went to a playoff, with Tom Lehman winning after Fred Couples and David Frost had complete meltdowns.
It was a great weekend, but definitely one of the harder tournaments I've done in a while. The leaderboard seemed to change by the minute in the final round and the course itself is very long and is very up and down. My body ached for a couple days after it, but it was worth it.
It really doesn't feel like work when you get to spend time on a golf course under the sun, making photographs, and meeting other sportsshooter members (Darren Carroll).
Life is good.

I first picked up a camera during a semester of studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa and haven't put it down since. After graduating from Connecticut College in 2001, I attended the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine. After finishing the program there, I moved back home to Denver where I worked for 8 years as a staff photographer at Rich Clarkson & Associates, providing team photography services for the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos, as well as championship photography for the NCAA. In January of 2010, I joined Andrew Clark Photography to focus on high end weddings and creative portraiture.
