| Todd Shurtleff's Message: |
I'm Director of Photography for MaxPreps.com, a Web site that covers high school sports nationwide.
I have been involved in journalism since the age of 13 when I wrote a feature story for the former Sacramento Union newspaper on four San Francisco 49ers, including Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana.
Over the years I have worked for several newspapers as either a correspondent, reporter or as editor (both news and sports). Among those newspapers I spent time at were: the Oroville Mercury-Register (1987-88), The Sacramento Bee (1988-92), and the Corning Observer (1995-2001).
My sports photos have appeared in numerous publications and Web sites, including Sports Illustrated and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Before joining MaxPreps in the summer of 2003, I was Co-Publisher of NorthstatePrepUpdate.com, a Web site that covered high school sports in the Northern Section of California.
