In my day to day work at the paper I see allot of spot news. I was sitting at an area school waiting to shoot a assignment when I heard a call for firetrucks close to the school for a vehicle fire.
"Where is the truck ? "
Those were the words I kept thinking yesterday afternoon at the scene of a car fire. I arrived on scene at the same time as two firefighters and began shooting. The firefighters were in their personal vehicle so they had little equipment to battle a fully involved vehicle fire. Radio calls were made inquiring to the status of the truck but received no answer. These attempts to make contact can be seen in my first photo of the gallery. Moments later the radio confirmed that the truck was not coming and something had seriously gone wrong. It had been involved serious roll over accident less than a mile from the scene. I quickly realized the car fire was not the story and followed the firefighters as they rushed to the scene to help. These are the images that I made when I got to the scene.
