The local wheelchair basketball team, the Banner Wheelchair Suns, hosted the 13th annual Roundup Wheelchair Basketball tournament at the newly opened Virginia G Piper Sports & Fitness Center for persons with disabilities in Phoenix, AZ. The center is part of a complex anchored by Arizona Bridge to Independent Living organization.
The tournament kicked off on January 28 at the incredible new center which features swimming pools, exercise equipement, a training track, climbing wall and a single open gym large enough for two full-size basketball courts side by side. And it's all for exclusive use by the disabled athlete.
