Will Novak Djokovic be #1 by the end of the French Open? I for one think so, and hope so.
I've been lucky enough to capture images of some of the greatest modern players on the courts at Flushing Meadows over the past several seasons. I've shot the Williams sisters, Nadal, Federer, and many other great male and female players on court. I've been lucky enough to catch Andre Agassi as a spectator.
Last September, I finally was able to shoot Djokovic in action. He is, by far the most entertaining and intense player I've seen.
He is on fire this year, and is in great position to be #1 in the world after the French Open, break the consecutive win streak, and quite possibly be on track for a true Grand Slam.
Nadal is quoted in this week's SI about how unstoppable Nole is right now. Here's a few shots from an early match at last year's US Open, as Djokovic eyes a #1 ranking, and the French Open Title...
Here's some new (and classic) HDRI shots that will be featured in the 2nd Edition of my book, Practical HDRI: HDR Photography using Photoshop and Other Tools (2nd Edition), now on bookshelves!
We've added close to60 pages to the 2nd edition, updated a ton of information, and built on the strengths of the first edition.

The German translation of my new book, Practical HDRI (isbn 978-1933952321) has recently been released by Rocky Nook's partner company Dpunkt: HDRI in der Praxis (isbn: 978-3-89864-580-5), and a second print run of the English edition is heading off to the printers any day now.
Feedback from the targeted readership group has been very positive, and I'm hoping to write another photo book in the not-too-distant future once things settle down just a touch. And thanks to Tom Sperduto for making the jacket portrait shot for both editions on the fly outside Ellen's Stardust Diner at 50th and Broadway last spring.
