These are some photographs from the power lifting segment of the Florida State Police and Fire games going on this week in Stuart, FL. The games are taking place all week in venues all around the Treasure Coast of Florida which runs south from Melbourne to Jupiter along the east coast of the state. The games encompass all types of competition. A chess tournament was one of the events that took place in Port St. Lucie.

My name is Alex Boerner and I'm currently a staff photographer for the Stuart News, a member of the Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers on the east coast of Florida. I've been here for four and a half years.
Prior to this experience I was a staff photographer for The N'West Iowa REVIEW in Sheldon, Iowa. I also spent some time freelancing in Minneapolis, MN.
