Robert Seale's Message: While at the Sporting News, I had the opportunity to hang out with Steve McNair for a few days at Oilers training camp in San Antonio during August of 1996 as he was learning the ropes in he NFL. He was a heck of a nice guy. R.I.P.

Robert Seale is a Houston-based photographer specializing in editorial, corporate, and advertising portraiture. His work has appeared in many publications, including: Sports Illustrated, Sports Illustrated for Kids, ESPN Magazine, SLAM, Businessweek, Barron's, Forbes, and over 200 covers for the Sporting News, where he worked as a Staff Photographer for over 10 years.

In addition to his portrait work, Robert is an accomplished action photographer who has covered 10 World Series, 9 Final Fours, 9 Super Bowls, 12 NBA Finals, and numerous other sporting events throughout North America.

A native Texan, Robert grew up in the small town of Anahuac, a locale more popular with alligators than people. Following his graduation from Stephen F. Austin State University, Robert began his career in newspapers, working as a staff photographer at The Austin American Statesman, The Houston Post, and The Augusta (GA.) Chronicle. Robert lives in Houston with his wife, Houston Chronicle photojournalist Karen Warren
