My doctor told me to stop racing so instead of a bike, I hauled some strobes out to the Cross Off the Old Year cyclocross race to do something different. Though 'cross is a fairly grueling sport (if you don't feel like you're dying you aren't going hard enough), not all of the competitors take it so seriously. Colorful jerseys, socks, costumes and beer are often involved. Thus I thought that dramatic lighting would suit this subject fairly well. Here are a few of my favorites.
