Image © Al Diaz/Miami Herald || I grew up just beyond the shadows of the Orange Bowl less than a mile and three minutes away. I was there for the Miami Dolphin’s perfect season, The roar of Super Bowl III was a thrill from my front porch. My first sports photo on the AP wire was of the University of Miami’s Otis Anderson breaking a school rushing record for more than 1,000 yards in 1979. Since then I've covered numerous sporting events at the OB for the Miami Herald. Covering UM's final somber send-off from this classic stadium left me nostalgic for all those early years of my youth. Goodbye OB. http://www.miamiherald.com/multimedia/sports/obspecial/story1.html http://www.miamiherald.com/606/story/493749.html
