FINALLY the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series!!!
I have been a Philadelphia sports fan since my childhood growing up in the Philadelphia region. The last time a major Philadelphia team won a championship was in 1983 when the 76ers beat the LA Lakers. I was 10-years-old then and watched the series and the parade that followed on TV.
25 long years later, I was not going to miss the chance to witness the excitement. The following photos are what I took Friday, Oct. 31, the day the Phillies paraded down Market and Broad streets to Citizens Bank Park. I went as a fan and was limited to standing on a very crowded, but extremely friendly street corner. The images I shot were mostly taken on the corner of Locust and Broad streets as I held my camera over my head.
