| Image © Dave Kennedy/Slot Car News || In the back of my mind I knew I'd shot an assignment while I worked in San Francisco at MAC World. I just looked back through my disks and found a disk of images I shot while on assignment for Getty Images. It was Steve Jobs (in typical dramatic fashion) basically announcing the death of OS9... well the image I made now makes me more than a little sad. My caption, "Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO, lays a rose on the coffin containing an OS 9 box symbolizing the death of the older operating system, after Jobs announced the new OS X "Jaguar", which is what the company describes as the next major version of OS X. The announcement was made by Jobs at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, California, May 6, 2002.(Photo by Dave Kennedy/Getty Images)" |
