| Talya Arbisser's Message: |
My second solo show, In the Footsteps of My Grandparents launches on May 5, 2011 at the Jewish Community Center in Houston, TX. 8 pm is when I will be speaking!
In the summer of 2010, photographer Talya Arbisser traveled to Israel with Taglit Birthright in an attempt to connect with the land her grandparents had fought for decades ago. The photos she captured reflect the stories she continues to hear of the Jewish state, along with her own visual interpretation of modern Israel.

In June of 2009 I graduated from the International Center of Photography in New York City with a certificate in photojournalism and documentary photography. Since then I've been bouncing around the country until finally landing in Houston, TX in mid-January 2010. I'm hoping to set up base here to be near my grandparents, but I'm open to assignments both near and far :-).
