For those that know me...they know I love shooting basketball, especially in March. However, this year I was faced with a tough decision. Hit the road for the 1st and 2nd round of the NCAA tournament or stay home and cover the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships. The decision was actually pretty easy for me. I decided to stay home and make some different images and not be cooped up on a baseline with a bunch of other photographers making similar photos. I needed to do something different and I think it paid dividends. It broke up the routine of basketball season and here I present the fruits of my efforts, some of my favorite shots from the event.
And as for basketball...all was ok, because I still got to hit the road for the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight.
