| Jim Ricketts's Message: |
After many years as an amateur photographer spending countless hours photographing my grandsons’ baseball, football, & basketball games not to mention a less than memorable wrestling season, I decided to start a one man photography business. The trigger was my retirement from federal service in 2008. All the pre-retirement seminars I attended during my last year of a 30 year career made one thing crystal clear, you must have something to do when you retire and that something for me was photography. Actually, I did not need all the reminders because I had planned to start my business well in advance of 2008.
BJRPhotos employs one photographer which is me (Jim Ricketts). My experience includes: Dallas Fort Worth Rugby, high school baseball, high school & club soccer, middle school football, the Lewisville Football Association and since April of 2012 I have helped Capstone Photography of Middlefield, CT cover numerous outdoor events generally referred to as “mud runs.” I enjoy photographing these events. The enthusiasm of the participants is contagious. The enthusiasm is so contagious that the runners and some walkers do not shy away from sharing their well-earned mud with me. I have spent several Sunday’s cleaning mud off my gear.
