Hola friends,
I recently had the opportunity to hang backstage at the International Fantasy Hair competition in Manchester, NH. The event was organized to help the NH Food Bank and to cultivate local New England hair talents.
I decided to take a chance in the dark. Backstage, where the models were waiting felt like a bazaar, with hair do(s) so surreal. The designs oozed with beauty and creativity. It was a show of nightmares, fantasy and opportunity.
I also shot and produced a short video clip for the event at our Multimedia page:

I am wrapping up my winter/spring internship here at the Concord Monitor. I want to thank everybody at the Concord Monitor especially Alex Cohn, Will DeShazer and Ken Williams for taking me in, teaching me and sending me back out into the world. I also want to thank my wife (just married) for putting up with my antique methods.
I have spent most of the year on the road. I have completed a fall internship at The Roanoke Times and a summer internship at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
** I have also just started a photo blog. No words, just pictures. It's still at its infancy stages, but please check it out!

I wish to end this update with a quote that I’ve always lived by.
“Everybody has a talent. What is rare is the courage to follow the talent to the dark places where it leads.” – Father, Victor Yam
