Change.
This year, politicians used it as a platform to get elected, there ended up being a whole lot less of it in my 401k and it's what I did to my career.
After 11 years of being a photographer that did some web design, I tried to deal with a rapidly transforming job market by becoming a web designer that does some photography. It scared me to make a move that big, but I needed it for a lot of reasons.
It actually turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. I returned to the communications field, got a chance to do some writing again and proved to myself that I really can do things I never thought I was capable of.
These are some of my favorite shots from along the way in 2008.
And here's hoping that any changes 2009 brings you are for the better.
