Cariņo Casas is a journalist with more than seven years experience: four as a copy editor and more than three as photographer. Casas, originally from El Paso, Texas, has worked around the West, including three papers on the Rio Grande (Brownsville Herald, El Paso Times, Albuquerque Journal) and three on Interstate 15 (Idaho Falls Post-Register, Las Vegas Review Journal and La Prensa [Riverside Press-Enterprise]). She has a journalism degree from Texas A&M University.
