The 13th annual Les Schwab Invitational High School Basketball Tournament was held over the Christmas week holiday at Liberty High School in Hillsboro, Oregon. As with tradition, four top ranked visiting teams from outside the Northwest battled for the championship trophy against 16 schools from Oregon and Southwest Washington. This year Dominguez High School from Compton, California defeated Fairfax High School of Los Angeles to claim the championship trophy, a run of first place finishes for the visiting schools that now runs for five years. The best Oregon finish was Westview High School of Beaverton that took fourth place after being defeated by Mt. Vernon High School of Mt. Vernon, New York who finished third.
