Pacific Ocean (Aug. 11, 2005) - Sailors conduct a hangar bay scrub down aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). SCRUBEX's are performed periodically on the flight deck and in the hangar bays to reduce hydraulic fluid, grease and dirt buildup, which present a hazard to aircraft and personnel. Ronald Reagan is currently underway in the Pacific Ocean conducting carrier qualifications for the West Coast Fleet Replacement Squadrons.
