KateAnne Roethler, 4, of Epworth, Iowa alerted her family after a fire broke out in her bedroom at Beverly Apartments in Epworth early Wednesday morning. KateAnne heard the smoke alarm and woke her mother and sister allowing them to exit the residence safely. The cause of the fire was a stuffed animal that fell on the baseboard heater in the bedroom.
