A special gallery created by SportsShooter.com member Clint Austin "Alpine Lake Fire"     [index] <<- Previous Next ->> A CL-215 aircraft dips into Seagull Lake late Wednesday afternoon to pick up a load of water to drop on the Alpine Lake fire in the BWCAW. The aircraft is one of two CL-215's owned by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. The plane loads 1400 gallons of water in 4 seconds as it skims across the surface of the lake at 90 miles per hour.
