A special gallery created by SportsShooter.com member Clint Austin "Alpine Lake Fire"     [index] <<- Previous Next ->> Firefighting crews from Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri and the Missouri Department of Conservation leave Seagull Outfitters at the end of the Gunflint Trail Tuesday to work on the Alpine Lake fire in the BWCAW. Tuesday was the first large deployment of ground firefighters for the fire. The firefighters are given special permission to use motorboats and gasoline powered equipment in the wilderness, and all motor use has to be tracked.
